As a cosmetologist, we are set up for all things hair- but the education falls short when addressing hair LOSS, & dermatologists focus more on skin but do not have extensive training in hair follicles. This is why the stylists at Blush felt drawn to further their education, gaining the knowledge to help clients where there is a great need.
Trichology is the study of hair & scalp disorders. Encompassing the study of the diseases of the hair & scalp by assessing the causes and determining proper treatment.
What is Trichology?
The first order in business when booking a scalp assessment is filling out an extensive consultation form. Within this form we will learn details that may pertain to the issues you are currently experiencing with your hair or scalp. It is asked that you return the form with a minimum of three days before your appointment as to give your practitioner time to throughly review your details.
One you arrive for your scalp assessment, we will pull up the images taken on an screen for you to see exactly what we are looking at. We will view your scalp at 50x magnification saving these pictures in your secure file.
We will have a detailed discussion of our determination and create a plan to create a plan for achieving your realistic goals.

the first step in treatment
I have dedicated the last 5 years into building my career as an extension specialist. My extension client list is long and I have developed my own extension course as well as trained numerous stylists in person.
But I felt like something wasn't right.
A large portion of my clients were suffering from changes to their hair density and sought extensions to make them feel like themselves again. Unfortunately extensions could further exacerbate their issues, making extensions harder over time and ultimately leaving clients feeling nervous for their ultimate hair health.
So I decided to make a change.
I spent month researching to find an institute that would offer training as a Trichologist, and the universe provided. I found THE top education with leaders in Trichology. The have obtained certification through the American Medical Certification Association and didn't stop there. I have now received multiple certifications and extensive training in my field. Creating my own Trichology community.
